Friday Frock

Outfit of the day from work on Friday followed by the Finders Keepers markets. Most weeks I just can't wait for 'casual Fridays'... some days corporate clothing can really suck the life out of you! The whole concept of work attire is a little bit strange. While I have the occasional lazy I-don't-want-to-get-out-of-my-pajamas-so-I'll-throw-on-anything-days, I mostly tend to feel much happier, and MUCH better about facing the day, when I am wearing something I really love and feel comfortable in. So I can only conclude that we would all be far more productive if we could wear whatever we pleased at work (within reason). Alas, I will continue to embrace my pencil skirts and pussybow blouses Monday through Thursday for the foreseeable future... I guess it's not so bad, just a little repetitive!

(p.s. As I was typing this, I coincidentally stumbled across this post by the lovely Ana from on dressing up, containing a sneak peek at her work wardrobe for the week. I love the way she balances sweet/feminine details with corporate pieces. Some well-timed inspiration! x)

You looked lover-ly darling! I agree, work is so much more bearable when you're wearing an outfit you love and feel comfortable in!

You didn't go with the market outfit photos! Glad you found time (and sun) to take courtyard photos :) xxx

What you're wearing is a heck of a lot more interesting than most workers. Love the sweet detail of the bow, and that cardigan is super cute!

Thanks sweet ladies! You are too kind ♥

holly - aww shucks darling, I believe my camera is kind to me (and my uneven skintone and pudgy belly haha)

aelie - I snapped pics in the morning before leaving for work, I ended up 15 minutes late because of it! I am trying to make it a habit because by the time I get home it's too dark for outdoor photos (and I am terribly disheveled!).

Such a gorgeous outfit, I love the shoes! I know what you mean about workwear. I used to work in an office & found it so hard to dress for it! I loved casual Fridays!

Oh you look so sweet! The polkadot tights and shade of pink, terrificly lovely.
And agh, the typical business attire. I remember I used to base what I wanted to do later on in life simply on the idea of what I would get to wear everyday. haha

(sigh! my comment got lost in the internet ether so typing it again!) I've only just seen this and I'm really chuffed I was able to provide you with even just a little inspiration. This is such a sweet outfit and I love that it doesn't contain a shred of black or grey (other than your tights and shoes which don't count!). I think a lot of people wear too much black and grey for work. It's so dull.
