A Mint and Coral Wedding

This weekend we attended the gorgeous wedding of my brother and his fiancé. It was such a lovely day, and a wonderful example of making a small budget go a long way using handmade and vintage pieces. All of the flowers were bought at the flower markets and we stayed up the night before putting together bouquets for the ladies and boutonnieres for the men. The tables were adorned with vintage floral placemats and lace doilies, along with vintage teapots, cups and saucers. The reception venue was decorated with handmade bunting made from mint polka dot fabric and hessian with hand painted lettering. The lolly bar table was set with old glass jars wrapped in ribbon. The bride even made her own headpiece using leftover baby roses. Here are a few quick photographs I took on my phone (I didn't bring my camera as I knew it would be too tempting to snap away all day, and I really wanted to relax and live in the moment!).

Your pictures are stunning, the professional ones must be amazing!

I always love a wedding with more DIY than 'wedding planner' in it. So much more personal.

Make sure she sends it to the ruffled blog!

The wedding looked (and sounded) absolutely beautiful! I always find the best weddings are the ones where so many things were made and done by the couple + friends themselves, they always seem so much more personal and fun!

Congrats to your brother and new SIL <3 xxx

Aaah you look so pretty with your hair curled in that dress PP!
I love the colour scheme and the DIY details. Sigh, it makes me wish I had done more vintage inspired things at either one of my weddings (I had one over here and one overseas!)

Hmm seeing so many pretty pictures of that dress makes me want to hunt it down. Must. Resist! I already bought the Sally Spot dress and I am on a spending ban! (it's a self gift to justify it to myself hahahaha)

Congrats to your brother and his wife! The wedding looks beautiful (I adore flower crowns)! Vintage with hand made pieces are a great way to go, and I hope for when I get married, I'll be able to do a similar theme like that!
